This is the numerically big department with 5 Nursing Superintendents, 22 Head Nurses, 38 Grade I Staff Nurses, 38 Grade II Staff Nurses, 2 Hospital Attender, 82 Nursing Assistants 19 Grade I hospital attendants , 32 Grade II hospital attendants , 8 cooks , 2 dhobis, 1 barber and 2 part time sweepers.
The department ensures 24 hours nursing care for the inpatients by posting adequate number of nursing staff in each ward in proportion to the patient strength and undertake the overall supervision in each ward. Accounting of medicines and daily census of inpatients are maintained by the department
